On Friday, Sept. 15th, Touchstonians gathered together for our selection event - Reading Night. At this bi-annual event, UVU students and staff volunteer their time to participate in a blind reading of all the written submissions for that semester. This Fall 2017 semester we received over a hundred submissions of poetry and prose and it was up to our readers to decide which of those hundred submissions would be published this semester. With careful, close readings, they were able to narrow down the selections to those pieces that were the strongest. It was a difficult task, as we received so many outstanding submissions. We want to thank all the amazing writers who submitted their work and encourage all of you to keep submitting to Touchstones.
We would also like to thank all of those who came and volunteered their time as readers! Touchstones wouldn't be possible without you!
If you came to Reading Night, be sure to attend our Launch Night in December (more details to come)! You're name will be included in the journal and you will be eligible to receive one free copy! Again, thanks to everyone who came!
